Career technology platforms, such as College Board’s BigFuture, share many features including assessments, opportunities to explore how results align with potential occupations, and tools for students to identify a range of postsecondary and military pathways.

To increase the BigFuture platform’s responsiveness to “non-college bound” learners, the CCD Center provided an overview of personalized career assessment tools research and best practices and conducted a market scan comparing the assets and limitations of various available personalized career planning tools. Using this analysis, the CCD Center assessed the BigFuture platform and offered nine recommendations to innovate and enhance several of its features.
